TGF: Tell us about your journey to get here.
So I started out managing our busy production and film studios, Foundry, which I love doing. We have clients such as NIKE, the Boohoo group, Missguided, EA Sports and Sofology so every shoot is completely different and I’m always having to adapt to how to facilitate all kinds of shoots. Now, I’ve added influencer manager to my job title as I help run this new leg of our business, managing social media influencers and planning content trips.
TGF: What’s the best advice that you’ve ever been given?
Even your most challenging day only lasts 24 hours. You can handle anything the universe throws your way.
TGF: What’s your go-to advice to help others?
You are always more powerful than your problems.
TGF: Tell us about your life ambition.
To be a purely good human being, and to highlight racial injustices all over the world. I want to be a force of good everywhere. Also, to be Drake’s wife. Just putting it out there.
TGF: Is there an unforgettable project that shaped your way of working?
Being in Miami with boohooMAN for our first influencer trip meant managing client expectations, looking after 5 male influencers and models, location scouting, travel planning and above all the creative vision for the campaign whilst also making sure everyone was having the most fun ever. Influencer trips are more about making sure the talent are having a great time and capturing what would usually be B roll footage.
TGF: Who would be your dream client?
I think anything FENTY related. Anything to do with queen RiRi.
TGF: What advice would you give those wanting to work in film production?
Perseverance. I have seen many work experience/runner positions turn into a permanent role, the right people will always find a way. I started out almost 10 years ago as a runner at Edit19 with a few jobs and adventures in between. I'm super happy with where I’m at now. It’s never too late to do what you love.
