TGF: Tell us about your journey to get here.
I’ve been interested in video production from a young age and always knew I wanted to work in that industry (or be a pop star, but I can’t sing so that’s another story!) I studied Film Production & Screenwriting at university and then took an extended break to see the world before joining the Gate family in 2018.
TGF: What’s the best advice that you’ve ever been given?
Never lose sight of yourself or your beliefs. (And manners cost nothing!)
TGF: What’s your go-to advice to help others?
To not bottle things up - and instead talk about the issue, take a deep breath and look at the bigger picture.
TGF: Tell us about your life ambition.
To have a good time, to sing and dance like nobody's watching, and to look back at the end and be proud of myself!
TGF: Is there an unforgettable project that shaped your way of working?
Not as such, but this industry has so far taught me not to worry too much, especially about the little things, as they always work out in the end!
TGF: Who would be your dream client?
Does Tina Turner count?
TGF: What advice would you give those wanting to work in film.
In all honesty, it’s not as glamorous as you think it’s going to be! But, when you spend weeks prepping for shoots, to see them come to life on set and in the edit is very rewarding. Things can change quickly so being organised, flexible and adaptable will be a massive advantage. It’s a competitive field, so get creative when getting your name out there!
