James Clancy is both Creative Director, Ad Director, and Professional Petrol Head. He cut his teeth as a used car salesman at his Dad’s dealership when he was three years old. From there he went on to make 300 calls a night, annoying people with double glazing offers when he should have been doing his homework. After trying to scam people on eBay he felt it was time to get a real career and now has over 10 years of experience in advertising creative departments.
This path led him to work for agencies all over the show, from Stockport to Sydney; for Global Networks agencies including McCann, JWT and Havas. Being an Art Director by trade allowed him to pick up the Director’s monitor eventually, and he was awarded at the Young Cannes Lions Film Category. He has directed commercials for the likes of: Peugeot, Tesco, Arla, TopShop, Pure Gym, Footasylum, Sofology, and Imperial Leather.
